Sam is a highly skilled makeup artist with over 20 years experience and based in Margaret River, Western Australia who freelances in TV, editorial, commercial, bridal and event make up. Her friendly, warm and reliable approach to her clients and extensive knowledge in the make up industry has enabled her to gain valuable experience and develop a polished set of skills that make her an asset to any project or event.

 

She began her training  in Sydney and completed her Certificate IV at Make up Glamour Makeup Academy in fashion, media and SFX and then returned home to London to continued her career in make up. Sam landed her dream job with MAC cosmetics and was promoted to Manager within a year. She continued to grow with the company opening and managing various MAC counters across the UK and Europe for 11 years. Within that time Sam also worked on various fashion shows such as London Fashion Week, Toni and Guy, Wella and also worked on various TV shows such as National Enquirer and Trouble TV which she was head make up artist on for 3 years. 

 

Sam moved to Perth in 2009 and has been busy building a strong clientele. Sam has a passion for supporting Perth’s creative community and has worked closely with many local designers, photographers and stylists to achieve exciting results. She also work regularly with the West Weekend, Joondalup Lakeside and Xpress magazine. Sam has had extensive event experience and has coordinated and executed large scale makeup events and shows across the State including working as head make up artist for Fremantle Fashion week.

Her skill and experience means that she doesn’t need to apply heaps of makeup she sticks to using it where needed to enhance her clients, not mask them and make them the most beautiful version of themselves.
